I have been quite productive today so far, but my mind is all over the place. Just wanted to share/record my random thoughts today!
- I ordered a sewing/embroidery machine last night! It’s not the really nice Baby Lock one that I want, but since I am a sewing novice, I thought this might be a way to test out the waters before I invest in a much more expensive one. I chose the Brother SE400 computerized embroidery and sewing machine. One drawback is that the size you can embroider is only 4×4 inches. But again, I want to try this new hobby of embroidering and learning to applique to see if it’s something I really love before I pay more to have a much larger space to work with. I’ve already picked out a few applique designs that I want to download to start making Logan some adorable onesies and shirts!
- Going along with the sewing machine, I’m excited to use the fabric that we’ve collected from Logan’s weekly photos to make some fun projects for her and her first birthday party, which is coming up before I know it!
- I’ve started pinning ideas on Pinterest for her first birthday party, but it’s a little overwhelming to think about! Planning the event is not my problem since it’s what I do all the time, but making sure we select just the right theme and come up with ideas for the party to make it one we won’t forget is what I’m working on.
- Ryan and I have been on the South Beach Diet for 11 days now, and I’ve lost 5.6 pounds!
- Fountain Diet Cokes are going to be my downfall.
- I’ve had a challenge getting in the bed at a reasonable time this week, and then that affects the next morning. Too many projects that I want to get done at home and not enough time in the evenings. I need to prioritize and do one at a time so I see results.
- Logan turned nine months old on Saturday! I haven’t done her nine-month post yet, but I’ll get there. Want a sneak peak on her stats? She’s 17 lbs. (27th percentile) and 26 inches (4th percentile). Yes, she’s in the 4th percentile in height. No wonder all of her nine-month clothes are so long!
- My family is celebrating my grandparents’ birthdays tomorrow night, and I am baking the cake. I found a recipe for coffee cake pound cake in this month’s Southern Living, and I really want to try it. Too bad the South Beach Diet won’t let me have a single bite!
- Ryan and I have a date Saturday night! I really want sushi, but again, the South Beach Diet…
- I’m so thankful for Ryan. When I can’t get something done (or run out of time to do it), I can count on him to do it without me asking. {I love you, Ryan!}
I hope you’re having a wonderful Thursday!
